Meet Sebastian! We call him Bast for short. D.O.B. - 01/03/2024 2 yr old Intact Male Chocolate Tri Chinese Crested Powderpuff He is roughly 12.5 - 13 lbs currently. Sebastian is from a litter of my own, raised by me in my home with and around my children and other pets. I own his mother (Winter is my Wonder for the Long Haul) and his father (Mountain Meadows Debonair Dante at Wind-Echo) was owned by my mentor. His parents are pictured above. His father is from champion bloodlines, please feel free to look into the pedigree (I can share a link if needed). Sebastian is a sweet, shy guy who is looking for a new home by no fault of his own. He has be used once, very recently, as a stud dog in my program but because my other girls are related, I feel it is best that he go to a home where he would either be loved as a pet and/or as part of another program. He has a wonderfully beautiful litter of three with my only unrelated female just about 1 & 1/2 weeks ago. He does have his Genetic health testing completed and has been AKC DNA'd as well. He is "All Clear" by parentage as well as testing. He is a beautiful boy! Bast does amazing for grooms, brushing, and nails. He is potty, crate, & leash trained. As an intact male dog he will need a basic potty touch up in any new environment, to ensure he knows what is expected of him. He is able to be crated without accident for up to 8 hrs if needed. He walks wonderfully, albeit bouncy and excitedly next to his person, on leash but can be a bit timid in loud unfamiliar places. He is a gentle soul, but still has a drive to play. Is friendly with younger respectful children and older children, dogs & cats and could live in a house with current furry or human child(ren). His price is firm as a pet or as a stud dog, He will need to be neutered in a pet home and will come under contract only. I am willing to have him neutered with me for new owner(s) at owner's expense prior to go home so that it is all done, if owner's would like him neutered. I have done this for other families of my dogs happily as it makes transition easier. Surgery would be performed at the practice I work for where he has been cared for since he was a puppy. He is currently microchipped, UTD on all vaccines, and Flea/Tick & Heartworm treatments. He will be due for Lepto/Lyme and bordetella boosters 3/27/26 if owners desire to continue them. Otherwise Rabies & Distemper are complete until 03/27/2028. He is AKC registered, and all paperwork would be transferred by me to new owners. Pick up can occur in New Castle or out of Pittsburgh,PA since I do travel back and forth regularly. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions, I am happy to answer them! Thanks for looking!

Frequently Asked Questions
About Chinese Crested Puppies
What's it like owning a Chinese Crested?
This mostly hairless breed and it’s powderpuff siblings are great for people with allergies as both varieties are hypoallergenic. Their broad head, large perky ears, and long muzzle give the Chinese Crested a distinct look to go along with their ultra-extroverted and fun-loving personality. Full-grown, they typically weigh 8-12 pounds and stand 11-13 inches tall.
Do Chinese Cresteds do well in a busy household?
Chinese Cresteds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Chinese Crested gets along well with children who respect their pup's personal space, other dogs, and any household pets. Young children should be watched around the Hairless Chinese Crested as they lack the naturally protective coat most breeds have to protect them from rough play. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
What's the best way to exercise a Chinese Crested?
Chinese Crested exercise and activity needs are rather minimal. They prefer a daily walk, but can usually have their needs met by indoor play. The Chinese Crested is well-suited for apartment life. Overall, their exercise needs are low.
How much grooming does a Chinese Crested need?
There are two distinct varieties of Chinese Crested—the ‘Hairless’ Chinese Crested and the more common ‘Powder Puff’ Chinese Crested. The Hairless Chinese Crested has soft, human-like skin and tufts of fur on their head and ears, tail tip, feet, and other sporadic places on their bodies. The Powerpuff variety has a thick double coat with a very soft, silky topcoat. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance. Chinese Cresteds are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Where do Chinese Cresteds do best — city or country?
Chinese Cresteds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. The Chinese Crested gets along well with children who respect their pup's personal space, other dogs, and any household pets. They are fairly easy to train.

See Full Guide Here
Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
