All About Me!

🐾 Hello Everyone! I’m Athena! 🐾 Hey there, wonderful humans! My name is Athena, and I’m a lovable girl who’s presumed to be a mix of German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog. I’m estimated to be between 2-5 years old and weigh in at a solid 50 lbs of pure joy! In May I was captured (via use of tranquilizer darts), after 2 years living on the streets, with people tracking my movements, and for most of my life trying to catch/trap me, while I was struggling to survive as a feral dog. I was starved and had raw feet from running. Just four days after coming to Whispery Willow Animal Rescue, I delivered a beautiful litter of puppies! Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m full of energy and affection, so if you’re looking for a pup who loves to give hugs and kisses, I’m your girl! I've been successfully rehabilitated, and gone from being a fully feral dog to a wonderful pet. I have a big personality and am quite vocal, always ready to share my thoughts with you. I absolutely adore playing with other dogs and even enjoy a playful game of chase with cats - don’t worry, I’m all about the fun and never harm my furry friends! I’m learning to love toys and am becoming quite the playful pup! Being EXTREMELY social is a big part of who I am, so I thrive when I have a doggy friend by my side. I’m all vetted and fixed, which means I’m ready to join your family without any worries.
