Buffy

All About Me!

Buffy is a 48# intact, black standard poodle female with white (abstract) who was born 6/3/2021. She is AKC registered, and cleared her OFA eye exam on 1/17/23. She also has normal elbows on OFA and excellent hips. Her first heat was 3/20/2022 and her second 10/13/2022. She is genetically clear via pawprint genetics except for one copy of CDDY. She has an easy care, yet plush coat with very good density to it. It is lovely to the touch, and resists matting. She can exhibit some skin sensitivities when shaved with too short of a blade, but does well with a 7 blade and a 10, but nothing beyond that. She is good for bathing, nail trims, brushing, standing on a grooming table, and being pressure dried. She is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on lead. She isnt picky like some standards can be and loves her food and a good chewy. Color coat wise, she is kb/ky, at/a, B/b, E/E, Em/Em, N/As, F/F, S/sp. Based on that, she carries for phantom, solid, chocolate, and parti. She is fully furnished, has two copies of the mask gene, and a copy of saddle tan. She does not carry cream. She is a typical standard in terms of personality, and is sweet with a touch of spice. She loves her people, gets along with other dogs, and LOVES to play. She is a silly, yet athletic gal and would do best in a household/program that allowed her exercise of some type a couple times a week. Walks, frolicking with other dogs, or running the yard would be enough for her as her energy needs aren’t huge. She is also smart like most standards are, and enjoys puzzle toys and filled frozen kongs that she has to work at. She is quiet in her crate, and settles well on the days she cant get out to exercise. She does also looove to sleep in bed, cuddles really well, and is house trained. She can be a bit barky, but isn’t awful for a poodle. Buffy is available to an appropriate pet or breeding home. She’s had one mini litter so far of 5. She would have to go to a moyen/mini poodle or goldendoodle program, since due to her CDDY we wont place her in a standard one. She is also just a great pet candidate too!
