All About Me!

Ceylon is one of our F1 boys that was a hold back for our program. He is suuuper sweet, very affectionate, and loves to play. He’s been very gentle with kids when out in public, and has been very social and hasn’t met a stranger when we’ve been out. He was originally going to be a part of our program, but he did ingest a rock unbeknownst to us, and needed surgery to remove it. To our knowledge and experience, he had never shown any interest in rocks at all, but due to this, we have made the very difficult decision to not keep him for our program in case it’s something he could pass on. He does LOVE to chew, and given acceptable chews it’s one of his favorite things to do. Due to this, we do not have him stay in a crate with a bed, or anything shred-able, and he will pull in blankets or anything in front or near his crate that he can manage to snag in with him. He does also love toys, and anything non destructible would be ideal for him, as he really is a very playful guy, and likes to be busy. He also loves other dogs, and has played with all ages and sizes, and will roll upside down and engage with the most exuberant sorts as well. He is 100% crate, leash, recall, and potty trained. Due to his history, we will only allow him to go to a home that is willing to put him on insurance for life (which he is now), and with the understanding that he’ll need supervision, as he does have a history of consuming things he shouldn’t. He is a very special kiddo, and it was a hard hit for us to feel we have to move him on, but he will make someone an awesome family member as he really has been a quintessential good boy otherwise.
