All About Me!

These pups were born on October 6th, 2024. They are sweet, playful, and good-tempered. They were born in a barn and their father and mother are guardian dogs at a small homestead in Leonard, Michigan. The Maremma Sheepdog is an Italian breed originally used as sheep guardians by shepherds in the Abruzzo Mountains. The puppies' parents are outdoor dogs and because of their thick coat can withstand the cold Michigan winters just fine. They guard the property and livestock, keeping coyotes and other unwanted animals away. Maremmas are also very friendly with people and make a strong bond with their owners and those they consider as part of their pack. Because they are guardian dogs, they can be heavy barkers at times, especially at night if they perceive any danger or something unfamiliar. They are very independent thinkers and because of their large size and free spirit, enjoy outdoor space to roam. They are loyal family companions and property guardians.
