All About Me!

Quill is one of our older kiddos who has had a couple of opportunities at being with families in the past, and was returned once for being a bit too shy, and his new mom ended up having to go into work instead of being at home like she’d hoped. He’s honestly a pretty even keel guy, has mid level energy, and loves other dogs and would likely do well in a house with an established dog that was a bit more extroverted to help bring him out of his initial shell in a new scenario. He can be a bit obsessive with other dogs in some ways, so a dog that was also able to tell a younger teen dog where to stuff it if he was being a pest would be a good thing! He does awesome out and about, in stores, at the vet, at our grooming shop. And is super friendly and easy going when he’s out in public, but for some reason has gets a bit caught up in anxiety and shyness when first getting used to a new home environment. With patience, and confidence of someone just letting him adjust but also making sure he’ll do the things that aren’t actually scary, he’d thrive! He rides in the car well, is used to longer drives, is 100% crate and potty trained, and also trained to wear pants as he is not yet neutered. He is recall trained, used to wearing clothes in the winter and loves cuddling and being on top of you or as close as he can get to being inside your skin once he associates you as his people. He hasn’t ever really been around kids, but a family that had older kids that weren’t too crazy, or were willing to give him the time and build trust and do things with him (he loved toys and treats) I think he could do well with that :) Feel free to message for more info!
