Taylor is a special little girl. She was born with a condition called gastroschisis, her intestines were outside her body when she was born. This condition does not have a genetic link it’s was just a random anomaly. As a NICU nurse I was familiar with the condition in babies and based on my assessment she had potential to live if I acted quickly. I was able to get her to our vet where our Vet Dr. Taylor was able to perform surgery on her at about 1 hr old. Dr. Taylor had not performed this surgery before but she said she would try. Taylor was given about a 50% chance of survival. Taylor will not be able to have any puppies of her own. She is smart, frisky and full of life. Her name has special meaning because Dr. Taylor saved her life and for that we will always be grateful. The puppy will be available to go home after 10/28/24, they will come with their first set of vaccines, a health certificate and the ability to register the puppy with AKC should you like.
