Congratulations on your new puppy, and welcome to the Suncoast family! Your puppy will need two more vet visits to be fully vaccinated. These vaccines should be administered 3-5 weeks after the first set of shots. By the time your puppy is 16 weeks old, they’ll be fully vaccinated and ready to explore the world. Until then, please avoid taking them to public places or around any dogs outside your home. Each vet has different scheduling, so be sure to call and set up an appointment within the next few days. Your puppy received their first set of vaccines on November 2nd, 2024, and everything is recorded in their health papers. The next round will be the same as the first, and it’s also a good time to consider microchipping. During the last set, they’ll receive their rabies vaccination. Deworming should be done at each visit as well. If, for any reason, you’re unable to keep your puppy, please return them to me rather than a shelter—I’ll always be here to take them back. I’ve seen too many great dogs end up in unfortunate situations at the pound. Feel free to call me with any questions, and stay connected with your puppy’s littermates or other members of the Suncoast family on our Facebook page, Suncoast Kennels Rottweilers. Best of luck on your new adventure!
