Ms. Brown is an adorable puppy looking for her forever home! She has a sweet temperament and will make a wonderful livestock guardian or companion. Compared to her littermates, she is more active and curious. She is always wanting to be near a human or play with toys. Ms. Brown can be a little shy at first brush but she is courageous and loves to see new things. She would do well with a family that can give her attention and would take her on walks or provide a "job" for her to do. As a working breed, Great Pyrenees love to have a designated task! While she is currently "badger marked" like many Great Pyrenees, she may outgrow the coloration and become lighter. She may also keep the markings into adulthood. Alphonse, the sire, had the same coloration as a puppy but now just has very slightly badger marked ears. For the parents - Alphonse is a ham. He is a male and can be fiercely protective but spends most of his time belly up looking for pets. When he had his X rays done for his hips as part of testing before breeding, he had to be flipped on his back and raised on a table. It is a scary situation for a dog generally. Many dogs require sedation for the X rays to be clear but not Alphonse. He fully fell asleep and had to be woken up to be walked back to the exam room. He then promptly fell asleep again until the Vet brought him some treats. He is a lot more active at home - he does run and guard. He has a farm job guarding livestock that he takes seriously, though he is deeply wary of the garbage truck. He is a great guardian and loves to run with cars when they leave the farm. He is only a ham with humans! Colette is a lover. She would do anything to spend her days next to her favorite people. She is active and loves to play with Cleopatra. She has also been very nurturing with any puppies on the farm. However, Colette's ideal day is curled up next to me and a few treats when she gets the chance. Both of her parents are AKC registered, current on OFA heart, hip, elbow, patella luxation, and genetic testing without any known defects. Puppies are raised on an 80 acre farm 1 hour north of the Twin Cities. Photos of Mom and Dad are included above. They are available for any prospective buyer to meet as well (and super sweet!) Puppies receive limited AKC registration for $1500. Full AKC registration is $2500 and includes their breeding rights. Please note that puppies must be picked up at the farm in Cambridge, MN. Farm visits are available to meet the puppy in advance. All puppies come with a guarantee and a return policy. If for any reason, you are not longer able to provide for the puppy, they must be returned to Triumph Heritage Farm.
