Jasper and his sibling are 8 weeks old and almost ready for their new homes. Some (including Jasper) should be ready to start leaving 6-24-24. We have some vaccines to finish up and then they can start finding new homes. I like to give the smaller puppies (under 2 pounds) at least an extra week of weaning to make sure they are ready to move on. If for any reason I don't think a puppy is ready to leave I won't send them. Yorkies are a small breed and although some of these puppies are stout puppies there are a few that are still pretty fragile and I will be extra cautious of sending them. Please do some research on hypoglycemia before contacting me about my tiny puppies. Although I have not had any issues with this litter so far moving into a new environment with new people away from the rest of their litter is a huge adjustment for a little pup. Some puppies can stress and not eat enough to keep their sugar levels high enough and they can become hypoglycemic. We offer our puppies Cesar canned dog food from time to time just to make sure they are getting enough to eat. I also send them home with some of the food they are used to eating here. The mom to theses puppies is a bigger yorkie around 10 pounds and the dad weighs 7 pounds. Mom is parti colored and dad is black and gold. Jasper will likely weigh somewhere between his parents. He weighs 2#11oz at 8 weeks. Both parents are ACA registered which is the registration the puppies will come with. I prefer to not ship but if I think the puppies are able to handle it I can get you information for that. It usually costs $350 to get one shipped. Local pickup is preferred.
