Sadly, we are looking for a new home for our handsome Border Collie/Husky mix, Slick. He is a great dog, and believe it or not he is not high energy like either of these breeds would suggest, but he does have a herding instinct and will “stalk” other larger dogs when playing and run and tackle them. He doesn’t do it to be mean, but he can play a little rough! Slick would do best in a home with without intact male dogs and no small kids. He is somewhat reserved when someone new first walks in, but then he loves the attention. He’s UTD on shots and around 55-60lbs full grown. Slick LOVES water, especially lakes or ponds (he hasn’t really gotten comfortable in our above ground pool). He loves to run and play with other dogs and go for off leash walks on our property. This has been the HARDEST decision, but we feel it is in his best interest to find him a home that has more time to commit to him. We also have 3 smaller dogs and his rough play (tackling) has us worried that one could accidentally get hurt. Slick knows sit, shake, and walks fairly well on a leash but we do most of our walks off leash on our land. Doggy door trained. Requirements- -Someone that is home often or has another dog for him to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes but plays better with dogs closer to his size (He is used to me being home most of the day and having access to our doggy door to go outside when he pleases. -Be kept as an inside dog, he likes being outside but loves to be with his family more. He is also used to sleeping in our room in either his dog bed or our bed. -Someone that’s willing to take him swimming or has somewhere for him to swim. He truly loves it so much Rehoming fee is negotiable as we just want to find him the best home
