Chief

All About Me!

"Chief" is the all-star of the litter. He was the first to start exercising his baby legs and he's been the first to get into trouble (like climbing into the water pan!). Chief started out as one of the smallest of the litter and it didn't bother him one bit. In the last two weeks though he has shot up to be one of the biggest in the litter! He is alert, often the lonely puppy laying outside in the yard observing the world (in the beginning at least, now they're all getting braver with Chief's example.). He loves it when I go in to pet him and he is calm around other dogs and livestock. He's aware and cuddly and oh-so-excited to be alive! At 6 months he will be about 55lbs, maturing to 80-100lbs. Puppies are exposed to chickens, rabbits, horses, cows, a small dog and people. These dogs are related to the Pyrenean Mastiff varieties of Far-East Europe, Asia, and the steppes. They are an all-purpose family and stock guard dog against four-legged and two-legged predators. Ours have some herding instinct from the mother and she also lends and obedience gene to this breed that is known for being somewhat independent thinkers. Our father dog is very popular with dogs and humans, though he also gives our farm the peace of mind that we have a protector. We are available for FaceTime and Skype, with delivery available.
