All About Me!

True gentle giants, these dogs are family oriented making excellent companions while they keep a watchful eye on the neighborhood. Excellent with children, the elderly and special needs families several pups from my previous litter are now wonderful ESA animals. **images are from previous litter I have been raising large/ giant breed dogs for 10 years. This is my early entry into breeding. Both dam and sire are personal pets, Irja (momma) is a full breed Komondor, imported from Hungary in 2020. Barteo (poppa) is a 50/50 great pyrenees/ standard poodle from a working farm in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia (2022). I feed nutrient dense dog food, so my large dogs go through about 1-3 cups/ depending on the weather and our activity levels. If this is your first giant breed, welcome! It’s a wonderful way to become aquatinted with large dogs. Exercise needs are low compared to higher-energy breeds. Livestock guardians are accustomed to lying-in with the flock - as opposed to herding. Bred for more than a century to protect herds/ flocks of livestock, I keep mine in the city where we do well with 2 walks/ day. I work from home, so it’s my version of office-mates. Videos from my last litter are here: https://youtu.be/PfDusefEnO0?feature=shared Adult dogs weigh ~85lbs - females; ~100+lbs males. It's common for the females to choose a human, whereas the males are affable with everyone. Socializing early - well socialized pups are easily introduced to new people/ situations. I start my pups with car rides, leash walks, trips to the vet, new faces of all ages and a variety of household pets. Pups will be ready for new homes October, 20th. All vaccines included, basic manners, raised in a family home with other pets. Leash trained, potty-aware. I deliver all my pups to ensure a confident start in life. I have pups in Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Indiana. I’ve had requests from Wyoming and Colorado for this litter so I am planning a cross-country trip for delivery. Get in touch with me to make a plan if delivery is something you're interested in! Thank you for stopping by, best of luck in the search for your new baby! ~Katie
