I spent 2 years working in a AHAA accredited Veterinary Clinic in Helena, MT, leading to a 7-year career as a canine groomer. I adored this career, and it abruptly came to an end when my husband accepted a new career in Kalispell, MT. Furthermore, I had contemplated relocating my salon to the area, although my heart was ready to move into something new. In my years of working with canines, I fell in love with countless breeds, Although the Pembroke Welsh Corgi maintained its number one spot in my favorites. Despite my love for the verity of breeds I encountered, many were well-bred and many were over bread, leading to our mission statement. As a breeder, we strive to be responsible and keep operations small, accidental litters eliminated, and be sure our dogs and featured sires are certified and/or cleared of genetic abnormalities. We also require puppy applications to be sure our dogs are going to appropriate homes. We know Corgis are cute and everyone wants one, but this does not mean their breed is meant for everyone. It is important to us that our adoptive families understand the breed's characteristics, temperament, activity requirements, etc.... to be sure our pups go to their forever homes. We do require a contract to be signed at the time of deposit after approval of application. North Star does have intentions of Fanny gaining titles in the spring of 2023, We are hoping to start her in herding cattle, agility, and barn hunting. We look forward to this process, knowing she will be excellent in all three. Thank you for considering North Star Pembroke Corgi's.
