I live out in the country with lots of land so when the puppies can be introduced to the elements they have plenty of space for exercise. Until then they have The Whelping Ward where the mom and puppies stay off to themselves. Inside the ward is a sleeping area with a conjoined potty area for a litterbox. Using the litterbox is reinforced with praise and treats. I keep all medicines, grooming products, scale, and toys on hand. Puppies have access to air conditioning / heat as well as a heating lamp. I am a behavior therapist that uses my skills to also condition well behaved pups for their new homes when time. All pups are given individual attention to condition them to be snuggle ready. Each pup is fed from an individual container to lessen likelihood of food aggression, ensure each pup is receiving food and cut down on their need to feel like they have to rush to eat. When ready the puppies start basic command training. Any pup that doesn't go home at 8 weeks continues receiving vet visits for shots on schedule. They start leash training and continue to expand command training.
3 out of 10 puppies are still looking for their Furever home. They have began command and leash training. Are potty trained.
