Almaroad Kennel (South) can trace its roots back to1983 when I was about 6 years old. We wanted a dog, so my dad got us two Golden Retrievers (Razzle & Dazzle), and Almaroad Kennel was born. I grew up around dogs and loving puppies. My dad has been breeding Golden Retrievers for over 40 years. For the past 15+ years he has also been breeding Golden Irish. Our family has always loved dogs. In 2021 we got Lucy from my dad with the intention of making her part of our family. We also wanted to breed Golden Irish puppies so we could share these amazing dogs with other dog lovers. Lucy is an AKC registered Golden Retriever and is a light golden color. She has been a part of our family since she was a puppy. She is extremely gentle, very loving, and great with kids. Ricky is an AKC registered Irish Setter. He is a deep mahogany color with longer, fine, silky hair. He has also been a part of our family since he was a puppy. They are both very sweet, affectionate, healthy dogs. A Golden Irish is a cross between an AKC Registered Golden Retriever and an AKC Registered Irish Setter (F1). They are bred to bring out the best of both Golden Retrievers and Irish Setters. These amazing dogs are sometimes called Irish Goldens or Irish Retrievers. When it comes to great family dogs, it is hard to beat Golden Retrievers and Irish Setters. When you combine the two, you get the best of both breeds. With Golden Retriever/Irish Setter F1 Hybrids you can expect to get a wonderful, intelligent, loving family dog. They will love to run and play. They are great walking companions. They will love the water. They will shed much less than a Golden Retriever and have beautiful wavy hair. All of our puppies are well socialized and raised with the TLC of our six children. Each puppy comes with up-to-date shots & worming, and has a health guarantee.
