About our place

Welcome to our puppy profile, and thanks for your interest in our purebred Porties! We are the Pedersen family. We reside outside of a small town in central Nebraska. Our Portuguese water dogs: Pearl and Rey are the parents of the puppies. Pearl and Rey are beyond cute, very smart, and most of all, beloved family members that live in our home. Pearl and Rey are obedience trained with wonderful personalities. They both have a great pedigree, including Rey's grandfather, an AKC Rally Champion! Rey has received the AKC (American Kennel Club) Good Citizen Award and is currently being shown in 4-H by our 10 year old son. Both parents have been genetically tested using the AKC DNA + Health kits, and are cleared non-carriers of genetic diseases. Results available upon request. We give great attention to upholding breed standards. We love this breed of dogs and ours in particular, and want to share the joyful experience of Portie ownership with other loving families. Rey and our Son competed in the County Fair on Monday, July 22 in four events: showmanship, obedience, rally, and agility. They placed third in showmanship, second in obedience, won first in class, and first overall in both rally and agility. They took home the ultimate award of "Top Dog" of the year for the entire competition! Why choose one of our puppies? Also, upon reserving a puppy you will receive exclusive access to our live puppy cam. Watch your puppy playing, nursing, and interacting with the family and their mommy. There are no hidden costs or fees. All puppies come with AKC papers able to be registered with no restrictions. Transportation will be discussed with the buyer on an individual basis.
