About our place

My name is Amanda and I am the owner of Red Valley Retrievers. Our family lives in a little valley nestled on the outskirts of San Diego, CA. In this valley we are surrounded by rock filled mountains that glow a beautiful red color as the sun rises and sets each day. Hence, why we picked the name, "Red Valley Retrievers". We have five beautiful children that are the heart of how your new puppy is socialized into a family that adores and cherishes their very existence. We specialize in AKC Golden Retrievers. The number one reason we consider ourselves ethical breeders is that we try to breed with intention. We temperament and health test all of our dogs before considering breeding to ensure that no hereditary issues will arise with each pairing. We take care to make sure the environment of our family and our dogs is conducive for a their healthy, growing body in our home. Ethical breeders provide their dogs with a high quality of care, which includes: Providing all their dogs with quality food, clean water, proper shelter, exercise, socialization and professional veterinary care. Keeping dogs clean and well-groomed. Raising dogs intended to be pets in a home environment. Not only is this our way of care and attention for our dogs, but we raise our pups in our home where they are a daily part of our family's lives. In addition to providing all of that to our dogs, we are constantly growing and learning on how to improve our program. We give our dogs the best start in life from day one so that they can integrate smoothly into their new homes when they are ready.
