About our place

OUR STORY. We are located on 38 pristine mountain acres in the Pan Handle of North Idaho just south of Coeur d'Alene. Our pups are now in most of all the US states and throughout Canada. Pete, the founder of K9 Veterans Assist, served active USMC between 1984 and 1988. Years ago Veterans Assist had a focused effort in providing Wheaten and Whoodle pups along with young adult dogs to serve as Service Dogs for those in need. Over the years we have gained a wealth of experience in selective breeding practices. We continue the focus of providing well bred, well socialized pups to our clients but have moved away from service dogs as a core business due to less demand in the industry. We are proud to still offer active military and veteran discounts when we are able, along with providing the best quality Wheaten, Whoodle and trained young adult dogs to veterans and non-veteran homes alike.
