We are a family homestead and have a few puppies at this time. We are not a breeding kennel and will not be having puppies offered repeatedly. We only have 2 breeds in our household. We have our hybrid worker dogs: Border Heelers. With our homestead needs this breed mix has been a necessity to fulfill very specific types of work at our homestead. With this mix we have met our need for smart, agile & fast dogs. Ours guard the premise, help herd as needed, as well as be a play friend to our child. Due to how smart these dogs are they learn cues & commands very fast. They are loyal and love to work just to please. Our second breed is the German Shepherd which has been a lifelong passion. Our GSD are based on European imported, straightbacked lines, carrying Urajiro mask (wolf mask, much less known to the standard GSD, used to be more prevalent early in the breed). The GSD has suffered a long history of health decline due to breeding for show & subpar breeding selections. On the other side there are also lines bred to be too "aggressive", geared for war, border patrol type jobs etc. Our selected dogs stem from a desire to meet the need for family safe, work capable, healthy dogs. These dogs do not stem from the more aggressive breeding, nor from show lines. The history is in farm utalitarian dogs (such as herding), service dogs, search rescue and similar, many in the lines are sports dogs too.
