About me

I am a former minister and now, a trauma therapist by profession. I am a big believer in emotional support animals. I have seen first-hand how emotional support animals can improve the health and well being of my clients. Especially those who have had severe trauma. I have contributed my support to many clients in need of emotional support animals over the years. And, have helped guide them through the process in the State of Tennessee. At Adirondack Shih-Tzu's we believe that Shih-Tzu's are THE PERFECT emotional support animal. They are loving, loyal, and protective. They don't shed, they are small, and easy to manage. You may be amazed to discover that a former Episcopal Scotsman was credited with bringing the Shih-Tzu breed to the United States after serving in mission work in Peking. In the very first dog show that featured the newly recognized breed (1969), a Shih-Tsu won first place! Historically, they have been known as "The Chinese Lion," but I always knew there was a little Highlander in them.
