I have one to two small litters per year. It’s hard to find a great quality animal that’s not been over-produced for immediate cash. We understand the importance of not over-populating the community with dogs when there are so many dogs needing homes. When people want a certain breed for their family, it’s important to have the ability to get a good healthy dog from a responsible breeder that isn’t just trying to sell as many dogs as they can for profit. We balance our model this way. We only breed once, maybe twice a year, the prices we charge for our puppies basically cover the costs we incur to create them. We have veterinary visits frequently of the parents, as well as regular intervals for the puppies as they are growing. We provide high-quality foods and vitamins to ensure long life, and healthy animals. It’s important to me that my puppies reach great families that can commit to raising this puppy as a member of the family. That means, they must promise to care for and kee the animal for its life. If for some reason that becomes an issue, I request that the family remains in contact with me so that I can help in either rehoming the animal with their family. Or I will personally accept the animal back so that I can ensure it gets a good new family, and never goes to a shelter. That is very important to me.
