Hello, I have been breeding and showing dogs for 20 years. I began showing and breeding Great Danes, with one of my puppies being shown at Westminster. I then fell in love with the Newfoundland breed and bred Newfoundlands with the idea that some of the forever families would be interested in pursuing becoming a certified therapy team with their Newfoundland. I currently still have my Newfoundland, Lucy. She will be 12 years old in February 2025. Lucy and I are a certified therapy team through Therapy Dogs International. We volunteered at a day program for adults with disabilities. Lucy and two of her puppies were part of a photo shoot in New York City promoting childhood literacy, with Warner Bros. partnering with Ralph Lauren. Lucy was in a Ralph Lauren children's fashion show in Central Park in NYC. I have six of my own children and our family has enjoyed welcoming all sorts of animals into our home, from dogs and cats, to horses and goats, to geckos and parrots. I work with children as a School Guidance Counselor and have used my therapy dog, Lucy, in previous work with children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. I became interested in the Newfiedoodle breed as I love Newfoundlands and was always interested in Standard Poodles. My children's pediatrician had a Standard Poodle who would come to work with her and welcome all of the patients who visited. Enjoy the best of both worlds with the sweet tempered Newfoundland and the intelligent, friendly Standard Poodle.
