About our place

My time working as a veterinary technician taught me that the puppy a family chooses to add to their family will forever change their family dynamic; for better or worse. While all puppies will be challenging at certain stages, a poorly bred puppy can grow up to become both a physical danger and financial drain for the family. At Maple Hill Farm English Springer Spaniels we breed for superior temperament and health. This requires all our dogs to be tested for superior temperaments, OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) hips and elbow radiographs and DNA. Our records can be viewed at our Facebook page: Maple Hill Farm English Springer Spaniels and in person when you come to view the puppies. We have a small home kennel in the mountains of Deer Island Oregon an hour North of Portland. Our adult dogs and puppies are raised in the home with us and receive the "Gold Standard" of veterinary care. While we are happy to reserve a puppy online and deliver for a fee, we happily welcome prospective buyers into our home to get to know the puppies and ourselves.
