About our place

I’m thrilled to share my journey of over 15 years in breeding, especially my deep love for French Bulldogs. Frenchies are my absolute favorite breed because of their charming personalities and adorable quirks. However, raising them comes with unique challenges that have taught me the nuances and complexities of responsible breeding. ### The Challenges and Joys of Frenchie Breeding Breeding French Bulldogs is a careful balance of science, compassion, and vigilance. Frenchies have special needs that require proactive planning, particularly around birth and neonatal care. Approximately 85% of Frenchie pregnancies necessitate C-sections due to their narrow birth canals. For the safety of the puppies and the mother, we ensure all deliveries are done via C-section. This reduces risks and increases the chances of smooth, safe births. ### The Critical First Days The first three days are crucial for Frenchie puppies. They are prone to broncho aspiration, making regular feeding and monitoring vital. Puppies can't go more than three hours without food, and we can't leave them alone with their mothers because of the risk of being rolled over and suffocated. Temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors must be perfect. We use incubators and monitor the puppies every three hours for the first two weeks, then every four hours for the next two weeks. This intensive care ensures that each puppy is given the best start possible. ### Feeding and Nutrition When it comes to feeding, we start the puppies on Royal Canin Starter after the fourth week. One to two weeks later, we transition them to Pro Plan Small Breeds to ensure they grow up healthy and strong. This gradual introduction to high-quality foods sets them up for a lifetime of good health. ### A Love Beyond Measure Despite the challenges, breeding Frenchies remains a labor of love. Each puppy has its own personality, bringing unique joy to our lives and the lives of their future families. Our goal is to continue sharing this joy with others while ensuring each puppy gets the attentive care it needs to thrive. Thank you for joining me on this journey. If you have questions about French Bulldogs or are considering welcoming a Frenchie into your home, I'd be happy to share my experience and guide you along the way. Together, we can provide these wonderful pups with loving homes and a bright future.
