About our place

I am Susie, the owner of Uhtred and Anya, our Central Asian Shepherds (CAS). My family and I live in Northwest Montana, between the Swan Mountain Range and the Mission Mountains. We live in bear country surrounded by lots of wildlife. When we moved to this area years ago, we began researching for a dog breed that would be suitable to this environment, withstand the brutally cold winters, and be able to defend my family from the numerous predators that live in this valley. We also wanted a dog that would be gentle with family members and accepting of our other pets (we also have cats and birds). The more I learned about the CAS breed, the more I knew, this was the dog breed we wanted and needed. I purchased my first male CAS a few years ago and could not be happier. I have since purchased a companion for him. Simply stated, I love this breed!
