Xanadu Teddy Roosevelt Terriers (type B Rat Terrier) and Froschwald German Shepherds. We are a West Kentucky breeder located near Kentucky Lake just east of Murray, KY. Our dogs are members of the family and not raised inside a kennel. We are a selective breeder and do not breed consistently so we do not have puppies available at all times. The German Shepherd is a very versatile dog, excelling in herding, IPO, obedience, scent and other sports, They are also used as therapy and service dogs. Shepherds are loyal family members and love to spend time doing whatever their owner is doing. They love to work and will need daily activity of the mind and body. The Teddy Roosevelt Terrier is a big dog in a small package. They are lively, courageous, affectionate, and very intelligent. Will be at your side doing whatever you are doing or snuggling in your lap. All of our dogs are health tested. German Shepherd parents have Hips and elbows certified through the OFA and they are tested for DM. Teddy Roosevelt Terrier parents and fully Embark paneled and Basic Cardiac and Patellas are registered with OFA. We are a member of the AKC, UKC, Good Dog, American Teddy Roosevelt Club, United Teddy Roosevelt Club, and the Paducah Kennel Club. Biosensor training is done with each litter beginning at 3 days old. Our dogs should excel in competition sports, service roles and companionship with training, and they will have nice 'off' switches. Currently a trainer/HRD K9 Handler doing Search and Rescue and have pups from previous litters also in Search in Rescue. We also have dogs doing Therapy Dog work, trialing in Rally, Scent work, and showing in Conformation.
Dottie, Harper, ad Hadley are still available. Smart, courageous, inquisitive little rascals. Would do well as farm dogs, family pet, or in performance events.
